On June 24, 2026, an online meeting was hosted by the International Office to plan a collaborative research project titled "Salak Agroforestry Field Study" focusing on socio-economic issues in Karangasem Regency, involving the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Udayana (Agribusiness Study Program) and the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Tokyo (represented by researcher Mr. Ted. The 3-day field study involving interviews with local farmer groups will take place in August 2026, supported by 3 to 5 Unud students acting as field researchers, and the survey questionnaires will be translated into Indonesian by Mr. Ted. Technical preparations require a faculty-level MoA, BRIN administration, and E29 Foreign Researcher Visa processing coordinated by Mr. Ted via an NGO, with template documents provided by Unud's International Office to Mr. Ted and Ms. Francisca Hadi (Executive Director of the Irish Chamber of Commerce Indonesia).
