KUI Unud facilitates Visitation of Indonesia-Philippines Joint Working Group (JWG) Delegation in 2024 University General

Udayana University through the Office of International Affairs together with the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) and the Faculty of Medicine (FK) received a visitation of the Indonesia-Philippines JWG 2024 delegation consisting of three ministries namely the Department of Education (DepEd), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at the KUI Denpasar Office (25/7/2024). This visit is a series of JWG agenda organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Dean for Information and Student Affairs of FP, Dr. I Made Sukawijaya, S.P., M.Sc, KUI Coordinator, Senja Pratiwi, Ph.D and representatives of the nursing program Ns. Ni Komang Ari Sawitri S.Kep. MSc. PhD along with Upiks and representatives from FP and FK Unud. While the JWG representatives who attended were Ms. Rita P. Sescar as Supervising Education Program Specialist, Office of Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance (OIQAG), CHED (PH), Ms. Jesusa Rocel S. Estanislao as Senior Education Program Specialist, International Affairs Service (IAS), CHED (PH), Ms. Aisyah Endah Palupi as Cultural Education Attaché, Indonesian Embassy Manila and JWG Team.

The visit began with the presentation of the profile of Unud and FP and FK, then continued with discussions with the delegates. The potential for cooperation that can be carried out in the future and the achievements that have been made both in FK and FP Unud are quite warm topics of discussion. 

The activity continued with a visit to the Biopesticide Laboratory in Postgraduate, the arrival of the delegation was welcomed by the Head of the Lab Prof. Dr. Ir. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta, Msc who gave an explanation of the research being developed in the lab, namely natural pesticides for apples and also explained some important research that had been carried out and had received patents. 

The delegation then continued their visit to the Genetic Resources and Molecular Biology laboratory which was welcomed by the Head of the lab Prof. Ir. I Gede Putu Wirawan, M.Sc.Ph.D and team. The delegation was also given a presentation regarding the research being tested in this lab, one of which was a trial on seaweed plants. 

The delegates highly appreciated the Unud team for the excellent reception and meeting the target of the visit. Dr. Senja Pratiwi also highly appreciated and thanked the delegation for choosing Unud as a place to exchange knowledge and experience and add networking.
