Applications for the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) Student Exchange Programme are now open.

APPLICATION & NOMINATION PERIOD

- Open: 1 November 2026

- Deadline: 30 November 2026

APPLICANT'S ELIGIBILITY

1. Applicant must be a full-time student at a recognised partner university with a valid Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with UNIMAS.

2. Applicant must have completed at least one (1) year of study or two (2) semesters at their home institution prior to the exchange period.

3. Applicant must have a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and meet the English Language proficiency (IELTS 5.0, TOEFL iBT 42, PTE 47, Cambridge 154, or equivalent to CEFR B1), or provide evidence of English proficiency.

4. Applicant must be nominated by their home institution through the International Office.

5. Applicant must have sufficient financial capacity to support their study and living expenses throughout the exchange period.

6. Applicant must have valid travel or health insurance covering the entire duration of the programme.

NOMINATION TIMELINE

- 1 November 2026: Nomination for UNIMAS student exchange programme opens.

- 30 November 2026: Nomination for UNIMAS student exchange programme closes.

- December 2026 (2nd week): Student receives official acceptance letter from UNIMAS.

- 31 December 2026: Deadline for submission of student visa application.

- January 2027 (2 months): Student visa processing.

- End of February 2027: Student arrival at campus.

- 1 March 2027: Commencement of Lectures and Academic Activities.
