Civil Engineering Program (Tropical Engineering) (One Semester)
BACKGROUND
The lecture topics in
natural materials in civil engineering include availability and source of
natural materials, traditional methods in using natural materials, and
recycling. The lecture topics in urban transportation include geometric design
of roads, road materials, pavement, public transportation, the impact of
transportation on the environment, sustainable transportation, urban form and
transportation, urban transportation in Bali, non-motorised transport, and road
safety issues. To complete the course student must meet the study requirements
of 75% study attendance or research consultation. Students will have a good
opportunity in learning about natural material and urban transportation issues
in developing country.
OBJECTIVES
