Supported by International partners and International Students, International Office Udayana University Held International Community Service Event: "Sharing Love with Bali Children" University General

International Office Udayana University successfully organized an inspiring international community service event "Sharing Love with Bali’s Children" on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Bali Baby Home Foundation in Gianyar, Bali. 

Eighteen international students from Italy, France, Vietnam, Hungary, Germany, South Korea, New Zealand, Sweden, and Great Britain, who are studying in international non degree program such as Exchange, Internship, Elective Study, Study in Bali, IBSN, Darmasiswa Program, BIPA Program and Go Bali Program participated in the event which reflect a global spirit of generosity, respect, and love for humanity, giving a significant influence on the local community in Bali. 

The official opening ceremony featured speeches from the Head of the International Office and the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Affairs. The event continued with the handover of donations to the Bali Baby Home Foundation and a group photo session to commemorate the occasion. Then the International students had the opportunity to engage in a limited interaction session with the babies, gaining a deeper appreciation for the challenges faced by vulnerable communities. The event concluded with free time session, allowing participants to reflect on their experience.

In his speech, the Vice Rector, Prof. Adiatmika emphasized the significance of the event as part of the university’s commitment to Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, particularly in community service. "This activity reflects not only the values of education and research but also our dedication to social contribution and human empathy," he stated. He also expressed appreciation to the International Office for their efforts in organizing the event and appreciation to all sponsors and partners who supported the event.

The Head of International Office, Senja Pratiwi, Ph.D. stated that the event aimed to foster social responsibility and cultural empathy among international students while providing support to the local community. She hopes this event could be conducted annually involving international students and partner agents to strengthen the commitment to contributing positively to Bali Island. She also expresses her appreciation to the partner agents and sponsors of the event: Asiana Oriental Service, GoStudy, Griya Lumbung Sari, dan Study in Bali for their dedication in fostering not only academic growth but also empathy and social awareness.
