Ethno Biology (Study Program of Biology) (One Semester)
BACKGROUND
Ethno biology course
offered is a study on animals and plants that are used in a Balinese society.
This subject will cover several topics, those are animals that used for food,
medicine, pest and pleasure, animals used in Balinese culture and Balinese
perspective andpractice in animal conservation. The plants topics includes
plants and its cultural value, and medicinal plants, and ethno ecology and
Balinese perspective in ethno ecology.
OBJECTIVES
This course aims to:
1. Provide students with an introduction to marine
pollution and basic oceanography
2. Provide students how to analyses environmental
degradation
3. Provide
the source and impact of landbased activities pollution (mining, deforestation, fisheries and plastic)
4. Provide the impact and remediation of sewage and heavy
metal
5. Provide impact of hydrocarbon and thermal pollution onto
marine organism and global warming
6. Provide environmental gradual graduation
