International Education and Culture Festival University General


Udayana University through the International Office of Udayana University held an collaboration event namely International Education and Culture Festival. This event was held in the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. It was held for 2 days, November 27 - 28, 2021.

The participants of the event were came from various Consulate Generals in Bali, such as China, South Korea, Timor Leste, India, Australia, France (represented by the Alliance Francaise) and England (represented by the British Council). Furthermore, the representative countries presented some performing arts, special food and book as well as cultural exhibitions from each of the country.

The Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng.IPU said that this activity was a follow-up to the meeting with the Consul Generals at Westin last October which aimed to establish even closer cooperation with Udayana University. Prof. Antara also said that there were special culinary offerings from each country that gave a distinct impression as well as unity. It was hoped that through this event, the bonds in between partners would get even stronger than before. 

He hoped that in the following years, there would be more international events. This was because Udayana University in fact, has the largest number of international students in Indonesia. He stated that "We will improve it again in the following years, so that later on, there will be many international students who are interested in doing education at Udayana University related to arts and culture, technology and so on". Moreover, in the future, it is hoped that this event could be elevated into an annual event, indeed with a better implementation, more complete and wider number of participants.

The Coordinator of International Office of Udayana University, Dr. Eng. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki, ST, MT, M.Eng said that this event, which was held for the first time, aimed to increase the cooperation between Indonesia and partners countries. In the future, it was hoped that many delayed collaborations due to the Covid-19 pandemic can be followed up as soon as possible.
