KUI Holds Finalization and Socialization of POB (Standard Operating Procedures) for Regular International Student Admissions for Masters and Doctoral Degrees at Udayana University University General

Internationalization is the main target in most universities in Indonesia because the trend and interest of international students who want to study in Indonesia, especially Bali is getting higher. This is of particular concern to Udayana University which is one of the universities receiving the most international students in Indonesia. To accommodate the many requests for international students to Udayana University, especially for Masters and Doctoral levels, the Office of International Affairs (KUI) of Udayana University held a Finalization and Socialization of POB (Standard Operating Procedures) for Regular International Student Admission for Masters and Doctoral Levels at Udayana University which took place at Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort on Tuesday (24/10). The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Secretary of LP3M, Plt. Ka.USDI, Academic and Cooperation Bureau, Legal Affairs Office, Vice Deans in each faculty, as well as Unud partners from Bali State Polytechnic and Asiana Oriental.


The event began with a report from the Coordinator of KUI Unud as well as the chairman of the organizing committee, P.A.A. Senja Pratiwi, M.Hum, Ph.D which was then continued with remarks from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, M.P., IPU. who also officially opened this event. In his speech, Prof. Rai Maya Temaja mentioned the concept of World Class University, the development of the number of international students studying in higher education is one of the aspects used to measure readiness and reflect the ability of universities to organize international programs to face global competition in higher education. The presence of international students to study at a university can be said to be an indicator and proof that the university excels in international competition.


In this event, KUI Unud invited speakers who were experts in their fields, namely Susilo M.Pd., D.Ed as the Coordinator of International Class from the State University of Jakarta. Susilo in his presentation International Student Information, conveyed various information about the management of international classes that have been carried out at UNJ.

The event then continued with the presentation of the POB Guidelines for Regular International Student Admission for Masters and Doctoral Degrees at Udayana University which had been previously designed by the drafting team. Senja Pratiwi in her presentation provided detailed information about this POB to the participants and also opened a discussion session to perfect the POB so that it could be realized immediately. It is targeted that in 2024 Unud will be ready to accept international students at the Masters and Doctoral levels.
