Love Balinese Art and Culture, Unud International Students Perform Pendet Dance at Gala Dinner Abdidaya Ormawa 2024 University General

The Abdidaya Ormawa Gala Dinner event held on Friday (08/11) at the Widyasabha Auditorium of Udayana University was enlivened by the performance of international students of Udayana University who performed the Pendet Dance.

Three international students from the Gostudy program, two international students from the exchange program and one international student from the Darmasiswa program have been practicing under the auspices of KUI Unud for one month to perform stunningly at this event.

The love and enthusiasm of the international students were already apparent from the first day of dance practice until the performance. One of the international students from the Gostudy program from Norway, Cornelia Riiber Knudsen could not hide her feelings of joy and pride for having successfully performed well at this performance. "This is a very extraordinary experience for me, I am very grateful to KUI Unud for giving me the opportunity to learn Balinese dance and even to be able to perform at an event as big as this," she said.

KUI Coordinator Senja Pratiwi, Ph.D. felt touched and very proud of the all-out performance of international students who had enlivened one of the prestigious events held at Unud. She was very grateful to the international students for their hard work and efforts to perform optimally at this event. Of course, she also thanked the Rector of Unud and the leaders of Unud for giving the honor and trust to international students to show off at this very magnificent event.

Abdidaya Ormawa is a program initiated by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia in order to provide appreciation to stakeholders implementing and supporting the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) which is a forum for improving students' soft skills through community service and empowerment. This Gala Dinner event is one of the series of activities and was attended by leaders of universities throughout Indonesia.
