Targeting an increase in the number of IISMA Awardees 2024, KUI Holds Socialization Roadshow to 13 Faculties at Udayana University University General

In order to accommodate the high interest of students to attend lecture programs abroad, the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia has created many programs for students to study abroad.

One of the most popular programs is IISMA (Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards). IISMA is a scholarship scheme from the Ministry of Education and Culture to take part in a one-semester mobility program at renowned universities and leading industries abroad that can open opportunities for Indonesian students to get to know international academic and cultural diversity. IISMA itself offers two schemes for undergraduate and vocational students.

Since it was first launched until now, the number of awardees of IISMA Unud does not appear to have a significant increase. In response to this, for wider dissemination of information, KUI Unud held an IISMA Socialization to all faculties at Udayana University for one full week from 11-15 December 2023. On the sidelines of his presentation, Senja said that this roadshow activity aims to expand the dissemination of IISMA information to all faculties at Udayana University and further finalize the preparation of students to compete in this prestigious event on a national scale. In addition, this roadshow also aims to increase the number of IISMA awardees at Udayana University.

Reflecting on last year's experience where the central IISMA registration timeline was very short, currently KUI Unud has opened internal IISMA Unud registration to address this. KUI will conduct a document selection process in advance and assist in the preparation faced by students.

In addition to administrative requirements, IISMA also sets English language certification scores as one of the main requirements. A certificate of physical and mental health is also a major requirement needed in this IISMA selection. Therefore, in the IISMA 2024 internal selection, a Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory test will be conducted to assess personality and psychopathology.
