Udayana International Partnership Meeting University General

Udayana University (Unud) held an International Partnership Meeting with the Consul Generals and Honorary Consuls in Bali on Monday (1/11) in the Bougenville Room, Westin Resort, Nusa Dua. The meeting was attended by the Consul Generals of Australia, China, Japan, India, Korea, the Deputy Consul of Timor Leste and representatives of the Honorary Consul of Estonia, Russia, and UK.


The rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU said that the goal of holding this partnership meeting through the International Office (KUI), was to establish and strengthen the cooperation with the Consul General from various countries. He stated more on the important of this cooperation, that the Consul General has always been an entry point to cooperate with universities in every of their respective countries.


Furthermore, as a follow-up of this meeting, KUI also initiated to hold a program, called the Udayana University International Festival program. This program is planned to be held on 27 - 28 November 2021. There are going to be various activities related to academic information, starting from culinary, academic exhibitions, cultural performances, and other activities. This plan got positive responses from the Consul General and Honorary Consul with the hope that the event could become an annual agenda in the long-term point of view.


The coordinator of KUI, Udayana University, Dr. eng. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki, ST, MT, M.Eng. added that in the Udayana International Festival on November 27, there will be an educational exhibition opening and cultural presentations, then in the evening a Culture Night will be held. On Sunday, November 28, there will be an exhibition of education, food related to culture. She also stated that there are 9 countries that have already supported this activity and it is hoped to continue to grow. This program aims to facilitate the participants with the informative exhibition so that they can get more insight about universities abroad. The participants are targeted coming from foreign students who are studying at Udayana University, as well as Indonesian students who plan to study abroad.
