KUI UNUD Synergizes with the Faculty of Tourism to Explore Cooperation with Famous British Universities University General

The development of tourism and the charm of the Island of the Gods attracted the attention of Bournemouth University


to establish cooperation with the Faculty of Tourism (F.Par) Udayana University. For this reason, the Office of International Affairs (KUI) of Udayana University facilitated a meeting between a team from F.Par Unud and representatives from Bournemouth University (BU) on Friday (03/11) at the KUI Denpasar Office. 


Present at the meeting were P.A.A. Senja Pratiwi, Ph.D as the KUI Coordinator, Dr. Irma Rahyuda as the KUI international cooperation division, Ni Made Sofia Wijaya, Ph.D as the Head of the F.Par Cooperation Unit and Dr. Nararya Narottama as the Head of UPIKS F.Par Unud and representatives from Bournemouth University, namely Yeyen Sinarta, MSc as Regional Manager of Southeast Asia, Taiwan and South Korea.


Yeyen Sinarta in this meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation with Unud including Double Degree in tourism where students will study at BU and Unud to get a double degree. It was also conveyed that BU has a Touring Scheme program for students to carry out activities abroad which in this case can be done in Indonesia. It also offers a scholarship scheme for outstanding Unud students who want to study at BU and also study abroad with a credit transfer scheme.


Responding to this interesting offer, Senja Pratiwi suggested that F.Par Unud and BU immediately design MoUs and MoAs to realize this collaboration. In the discussion, Yeyen said that BU opens opportunities for cooperation not only in F.Par, other faculties also have great opportunities to collaborate with BU. Even currently the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries also has a project with BU.


In addition, Senja also offered BU's participation in the International Education and Cultural Festival event


on November 16-17 so that interesting information from BU can be known by more Udayana University academic community. 


The F.Par team suggested that this collaboration begin with Research Collaboration and Exchange Supervisor cooperation and hoped that this meeting would open the gates of cooperation, especially with BU and extend to other universities in the UK.
