Overseas Training On Bridge Management And Maintenance University General

On February 10, 2020, Udayana University, through the International Office, and the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, in collaboration with the Overseas Training Development Network (OTDN), Bangladesh, organized a one-day training titled Overseas Training on the topic "Bridge Management and Maintenance". This Overseas Training was attended by ten (10) local government staffs, from Engineering division, Ministry of Local Government, Bangladesh. This training is one part of the OTDN work program, which is to provide training abroad. The purpose of this training is to (1). Give a better understanding regarding the parameters that have an impact on the life cycle of the cost of building a bridge, (2). Determine the price of the bridge value and how this value affects investment in the construction of the bridge, (3). Learn how to detect and filter out vulnerable bridges, (4). Identify the best bridge management practices and, (5). Critically inspect the bridge management tools. This Overseas Training is a one-day training consisting of two sessions of material delivery, with two (2) training instructors from the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Mr. I Gede Adi Susila, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D., presenting the first training material entitled, "Bridge Management System and Maintenance"; and Prof. Ir. Made Sukrawa, Ms.CE., Ph.D., presenting the second material titled "Bridge Safety, Maintenance, Repair, and Strengthening". The training was attended by the coordinator of the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Dr. A. A. G. Agung Yana, ST, MT., and opened by the Coordinator of International Office, Udayana University, Dr. Eng. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki, ST, MT, M.Eng. Through this training, participants are expected to get a proper guide to measure infrastructure deficits in bridge construction and prioritize the bridge maintenance.
